Conclusion:

Despite various challenges, the constructed public toilet is running well. People’s behavioral patterns and their perception for defecation are also rapidly changing. During construction of the toilet, many people, even the local elites made various negative opinions about the public use, O&M and management of the toilet. After constructing the toilet the same people are making positive opinions observing the quality of construction and O&M and management status of the toilet. All are hopeful that the public toilet would significantly contribute in reducing environmental pollutions in Dhaka City.

Besides, public, private partnership has been recommended by the world leaders for the sustainable solution of the public toilet related problems. There is no scientific estimate available about the number of public toilets that may be required in the city to serve this huge population.
